Can I pay with my credit card?

We utilise the services of both PayFast and PayPal (for countries outside of South Africa or should you be paying with anything other than ZAR) so you are welcome to pay by credit card. You are also able to pay by way of Zapper and Snapscan as long as your card is loaded on these platforms.

Does Blu Betty custom make shoes?

We only have the capacity to make the shoes offered within our predetermined ranges – we do not make customised shoes.

Can I exchange or refund my shoes?

EXCHANGES

You are most welcome to exchange your Blu Betty’s! All exchanges “carry” a handling fee of R160 (for main areas) for up to 2 pairs of shoes. This is a contribution to the logistics involved in arranging collection of your original shoe/s and dispatch of your exchange shoe/s back to you. Should you need to exchange 3 or more pairs of shoes then the exchange handling fee will be R250. For those clients in outlying areas, we make use of PUDO. You can pop over to your most convenient PUDO locker and send your shoes back to Blu Betty (the respective fees will apply as per the sending branches). We will send you an invoice for the dispatch of your exchange shoes to you – PUDO is R130 for up to 2 pairs and R200 for 3 pairs or more.

There is a lead time of approximately 2-3 weeks for the manufacture of exchange shoes should such not be in stock. You will be invoiced separately for an exchange. For assistance with an exchange please email us on exchanges@blubetty.co.za or WhatsApp 078 922 1660. Should you be from outside the borders of South Africa, we shall quote you accordingly.

Please note that an exchange invoice is only valid should your shoes that are being returned to Blu Betty be in an unworn condition. No exchanges will be processed for shoes that show any measure of wear whatsoever. Please note that the items being exchanged MUST be returned to Blu Betty in their original packaging. Any items that are returned to Blu Betty and are damaged due to inadequate protective packaging will NOT be liable for the processing of the exchange nor the cost of the exchange and/or refund. The shoes will be inspected upon their arrival back with Blu Betty and the Company reserves the right to withhold the dispatch of exchange shoes if it deems fit. Please note that exchanges are only valid for a period of 30 (thirty) days from the date of receipt of your order.

REFUNDS

In the event that you wish to be refunded, a handling fee of R160 shall apply for those orders of up to 2 pairs of shoes. Should you be processing a refund on 3 or more pairs then the refund handling fee will be R250. You will be refunded to the value of the shoe/s being returned less the handling fee. Please note that the refund period is only valid for a period of 14 (fourteen) days from the date of receipt of your order. 

Blu Betty shall collect the shoes to be refunded. Please note refunds will not be made should the returned shoes show any signs of wear whatsoever. The items being returned for a refund MUST be returned to Blu Betty in their original packaging. Any items that are returned to Blu Betty and are damaged due to inadequate protective packaging will NOT be liable for the processing of the refund. The refund will be processed via the payment platform selected to pay for your order ie. Payfast, Zapper, Snapscan, EFT and only once the shoes are back in hand with Blu Betty.

Are Blu Betty’s made from genuine leather and what are the soles made from?

Our shoes (unless clearly stated otherwise) have quality genuine leather uppers with a breathable polyurethane lining. Our shoes and boots are not leather lined. The soles are made from high-quality gristle rubber which offers excellent grip and comfort.

Are Blu Betty shoes locally made?

Blu Betty products are made in our factory in Durban, RSA.

Can I get a Gift Voucher?

We do offer Gift Vouchers from our online store – please click the link below to order. You are able to add a customised message and have various templates to choose from!

On purchase of the Gift Voucher, your selected recipient shall receive the voucher by the provided email address. The voucher will include an automatically generated coupon code which the recipient must apply to their online order at the point that precedes ‘Checkout’. Their order will be discounted to the value as determined by the value of your purchase! Please note that should you wish to make use of EFT as your payment option, the voucher will only be sent once your invoice is marked as paid.

How do I clean my shoes?

Regarding the Baobab and Diesel leathers please note the below:

OPTION ONE:

Do not spot clean your shoes. Rather wash the leather completely with an extremely diluted mix of baby washing powder/water & a sponge (only very slightly damp). Do not leave them in the sun to dry as they will go hard.  We recommend that you use a reputable leather care product to care for your Blu Betty’s.

We do offer an exceptionally good leather care gel, TeknoShoeCare™ Leather Care for use as a protective layer on new shoes (and for further maintenance) and a fantastic maintenance leather cream product, TeknoShoeCare™ Leather Cream which provides longevity and nourishment to all your Blu Bettys!

OPTION TWO:

We offer TeknoShoeCare™ Stain Preventor, Odour Preventor and Easy Clean in the form of 2 step, 3 step kits or in travel size 50ml bottles. These fantastic products are available to protect and clean your Blu Bettys. Your leather shoes are best maintained with the TeknoShoeCare™ Leather Care and Leather Cream after cleaning.

How much is delivery and how long does delivery take?

As we are an online store, we use the efficient services of reputable courier companies who will deliver your shoes to your door at home whether you be in South Africa or abroad. Delivery costs with Fastway are as follows:

  • Local with Durban and surrounds = R90 (up to 3 x shoes)
  • Main/major area = R130 (up to 3 x shoes)
  • Outlying area – R200 (up to 3 x shoes)
  • International shipping = quoted on invoicing

Lead times:

  • Outlying areas are serviced once a week
  • Main urban hubs have a lead time of 1 to 3 working days from point of dispatch

In the area of Durban is takes 1 to 2 working days

If you request Pudo then it takes 2 to 3 working days and is a counter to counter service – this service costs R130.

Overnight delivery is available – please drop a Customer Note at point of checkout. The cost to Overnight your order will need to be confirmed. Please contact us on 0762501872 to arrange an overnight delivery.

Does Blu Betty ship internationally?

International shipping rates shall be quoted on request. Please send an email to admin@blubetty.co.za and provide us with your full address as well as the shoes that you are interested in so that we can quote you accordingly. We will then generate an invoice for you and send through for payment.
Please be advised that you will not be able to complete the order online via the checkout process – we will gladly assist you with the order!

Do you make half sizes?

We do not offer half sizes in our shoes. When considering your sizing selection please note that our shoes being genuine leather do have a measure of “give”. After a small amount of wear, you will feel your Blu Betty’s stretching the firmness giving way to comfort.

Should you be between sizes it is worth noting that many of our clients elect to go for the smaller size due to the “give” of the leather.

Are Blu Betty’s shoes a bigger or smaller cut?

Our shoes are made to standard SA sizing, which is comparative to typical UK sizing.

Our shoes do for the most part run true to size and the majority of our clients have no sizing issues if they select their normal size! Our leathers do allow for some “give” and as such we do not advocate going up a size. If you are almost always a certain size we suggest that you stay with that size and in the event that you are “between sizes” we that you generally advise that you take the smaller of the two.

If a shoe is out of stock, can you make it up for me and how long does it take to get my shoes?

We can make up your order with pleasure (unless otherwise specified when ordering)! There is a lead time of approximately 3/4 weeks for your shoes to be manufactured. For those styles that allow “back ordering”, you will be advised when a shoe is not in stock when placing your order and given the opportunity to place a backorder – simply follow the ordering process.

What sizes do you offer?

We offer our sizing from SA3 – SA9 in most styles. Although there are the occasional instances where we offer a style from a SA4-SA10.
